Jason Cheal is an economist at the Andersen Institute. He focuses on publishing microeconomic analysis that creates insights for global business leaders, policymakers, and investors on the most important economic issues and questions of today.

Before joining the Andersen Institute, Jason was an investor and economic researcher for Bridgewater Associates, an investment management firm founded in 1975 that serves many of the world’s largest pools of capital, including sovereign wealth funds, pensions, endowments, and foundations. In his time at Bridgewater, Jason was primarily responsible for building long-short equity trading strategies that translate fundamental macroeconomic forces to company-level trading positions. This built a powerful analytical toolkit for understanding how macroeconomic conditions drive outcomes at the firm level, and how company performance can help us understand the economy today.
